The first time you pay for your parking using the RingGo automated telephone service you are given the opportunity to discover more about the text messages available and required to set your default SMS options for all use of the service. Text message fees may vary by parking location.
This places the onus on the motorist to listen and react to the prompts accordingly, and is the way the system is set-up to perform. Most customers especially find the reminder text, 10 minutes before the expiry of the initial payment, a useful tool in that they do not have to think about their vehicle whilst away from it and can focus on whatever they are doing, safe in the knowledge that the sydtem does the thinking for them and all they have to do is call back to top-up their parking (if permitted to do so) before continuing with their activity.
You can amend your SMS Settings at any time by following these instructions:
- Login to RingGo.
- Click 'Account' in the top right corner and select 'Settings' from the dropdown menu.
- Under 'SMS Settings', untick the text message(s) you do not wish to receive.
- Click 'Save' to apply the changes.
This action will take immediate effect so that the next time you park with us you will no longer receive the text messages you have now opted-out of receiving.
